Objectives
This
program of study will equip the student with a general knowledge in Biblical
Studies. It is designed to provide
a foundation for personal spiritual development, as well as the pursuit of local
ministry. Upon completion of the
program the student should possess a strong foundation in the Word of God, and a
balanced comprehension of the principle teachings of the Bible.
Intended as a one-year program, it can serve as the freshman year for
other undergraduate programs of study.
Course
Requirements
In
order to be awarded a Diploma in Biblical Studies, the student must have
satisfactorily completed the following requirements:
1.
A minimum of 32 credits (No prerequisite)
2.
A minimum of 17 credit hours in Biblical Studies
3.
A minimum of 9 credit hours in Theology
4.
A minimum of 6 credit hours in Pastoral Ministry
5.
A minimum overall Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0
6.
All financial obligations settled with VBC
7.
Recommendation by the faculty for graduation
